ALL GAVE SOME ~ SOME GAVE ALL
~2nd Annual Celebration of Life Ride and Event~
To Whom It May Concern:
We would like to continue with the scholarship at Sauk Prairie High School in Sauk Prairie WI, place a Memorial Bench on the Riverwalk, and continue to donate to military outreach in memory of PVT Adam J. Novak.
Adam was a proud member of the U.S. Army serving in Afghanistan; he was 20 years old when he was killed in a roadside bombing. Adam had a great passion for life and his family.
With your generous donations last year, we were able to donate $1,000 to Being There, Reaching Out, a military outreach program that supports families of our Wisconsin fallen soldiers.
And, our 2012 $1,000 Scholarship winner was Joshua Bruckert, who is attending UW-Stevens Point this fall. He is planning to major in agricultural business.
We hope that you will consider donating to our event. Please see the attached sheet to learn of the many ways to donate to our great cause in honor of Adam. Thank you for your time and generosity!

Congratulations to our boys’ basketball team for progressing to the Division 3 State Basketball Tournament!!
The excitement surrounding our school and students when any of our teams progress to State Level Competition is great and positive for our community. However, the logistics of how the tournaments are organized, coupled with students, staff, and community desires to attend these competitions can be a challenge for the operations of a school district. The purpose of this memo is to clarify how the district will address attendance issues for our Pre K-12 students since our high school boys’ basketball team qualified for the W.I.A.A. Division 3 semifinal game scheduled for 9:05 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012.
Pre K-12 Students
In an effort to accommodate the staff, students and parents who want to attend the game with their students on Friday the decision has been made that students and staff will not have classes on Friday March 16th. This decision may be viewed as counter to the academic mission of our district, however, in cooperation with district staff we will continue to provide students with the educational opportunities they deserve by making this day up on June 7, 2012. This day is designated in the district calendar as a make-up day and we will be using it as such to offset the loss of the instructional day this Friday, March 16th.
Spectator Buses
We are discouraging the use of private vehicles and will be attempting to provide spectator buses for students for the game on Friday, March 16th. The cost of the bus will be $5 and students will need to sign up in the office by the end of the day on Thursday, March 15th. Students will be required to purchase a ticket before being allowed to sign up for the fan bus. Buses will be leaving the high school at 7:15 AM. Following the conclusion of the game, students will be transported back to the high school.
Ticket Sales
The school has been allotted 1,299 tickets to sell for the Lodi section of the Kohl Center. Tickets will be on sale in the HS Office starting Tuesday morning, March 13. All tickets are $10. If we run out of tickets, we will be able to request more from the Kohl Center. We will need to complete the sale of tickets by 2:00 PM on Thursday, as the high school is required to turn in all unsold tickets to the Kohl Center by 6:00 Thursday night. The HS office will sell tickets at the following times:
Tuesday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
Wednesday 6:30 AM-6:00 PM
Thursday 6:30 AM-2:00 PM
Tickets in addition to the provided 1,299 are also available at the Kohl Center Ticket Office which is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The phone number of the ticket office is 608.262.1440 or 1.800.462.2343.
